TITLE: Administrative Assistant I, Rover
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: 1.0 FTE/9-month position
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified
GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Administrative Assistant I, Rover will be responsible for providing a positive relationship with students, faculty, staff, and parents. Responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of confidentiality and standard professionalism for the administrative offices and assuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school office.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Provides general roving administrative assistance to the school office
- General office coverage; answers phones and greets the public.
- Provides for punctual and efficient routing of messages.
- Generates correspondence, memos, and reports as required.
- Completes and distributes reports as required.
- Maintains accurate records and confidential files.
- Provides backup for Administrative Assistants within the front office when needed.
- Performs basic office procedures and other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a minimum of one year of general secretarial experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use of standard office machines and computers.
- Must have the ability to communicate and work well with staff, students, and parents.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English preferred.
OCCUPATIONAL CONDITION:
Low risk - Work is routinely performed in indoor environments, including exposure to noise and being on your feet for extended periods of time. May require standing in inclement weather including summer heat.
