TITLE:                          Child Care Provider, II  

 

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:     1.0 FTE/9-month position

 

SALARY CLASSIFICATION:  Classified

 

GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Child Care Provider, II will assist the COOP Director/Early Childhood Education Program Teacher in operating the center in accordance with Youngker High School and the Buckeye Union High School District policies and procedures and the state licensing standards to provide an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for children, parents, high school students and other staff members. The Child Care Provider, II will plan and implement activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of children. Responsibility for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children is expected by the Child Care Provider, II. Communication with parents is essential, as well as maintaining classroom records.

Medium risk - Work is routinely performed in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to noise and being on your feet for extended periods of time. Requires standing in inclement weather including summer heat.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The Child Care Provider, II reports directly to the COOP Director/Early Childhood Education Program Teacher. In the absence of the COOP Director/Early Childhood Education Program Teacher, Child Care Provider, II will report directly to the Child Care Provider, III, which is responsible for COOP operations and assumes the director’s role and responsibilities.
