This is a full-time position for a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Sports Medicine Teacher and Athletic Trainer at Estrella Foothills High School for the 2018-19 school year.
Must have a Standard Career and Technical Education/Health Careers Certificate through the Arizona Department of Education and be a Certified Athletic Trainer.
The athletic trainer will diagnose and treat injuries of high school students. They are expected to use their knowledge and skills associated with preventing injury through the use of devices such as tape and braces and to use their ability to recognize and evaluate injuries, and provide emergency care. They should be able to formulate a plan to rehabilitate hurt athletes and prevent athletic injuries. The qualified candidate will also have the following credentials:
NATABOC or ATC Certified
Arizona Licensure or Eligibility
Experience Working with a Variety of Sports
CPR/First Aid Instructor
Current Liability Insurance
Compensation for the Athletic Trainer position is $4201.56 per season for three seasons. The teaching position will be according to the Certified Salary Estimator.
